Sometimes when individuals are coping with a debilitating or highly disruptive mental health or brain illness, they need a change in their living situation. Catawba Valley Healthcare oversees residential care for adults with brain illnesses/disorders who live in Catawba county.
The goal for individuals living in our group homes and apartments is to have these individuals living as independently as possible in their communities while receiving treatment and care for brain illnesses.
Residents of our group homes are encouraged to participate in our Life Skills program. The Catawba Valley Healthcare Life Skills program is a day program that provides independent living skills as well as pre-vocational training opportunities for individuals with mild to profound intellectual developmental disabilities.
